The Aquis Date Relief takes the standard 43.5mm Aquis and swaps the ceramic bezel insert for brushed steel with raised (relief) numerals. On ref 01 733 7730 4153-07 8 24 05PEB that bezel sits around a grey sunburst dial, on the steel bracelet.

The Relief is the monochrome Aquis: steel on steel on grey. It looks more like a tool and less like a fashion diver, and it won’t show the scratches a glossy ceramic insert does. It came out in 2019 and has quietly become a favourite with buyers who find the ceramic Aquis too shiny. Retail reference sits higher than the standard model, around $2,500–$2,750.

Under the bezel nothing changes: Calibre 733 automatic, 38-hour reserve, date, 300m water resistance, screw-in crown, domed sapphire, display back, folding diver clasp.

Pitch it to the customer who’s looking at a Seamaster 300 or a Tudor Pelagos for the “all-steel” look but doesn’t want to spend that much.
